Job Level: Technical Leadership-T2Job Description:Category Manager - Family Dollar/Dollar TreeNorfolk/Chesapeake, VAThe Category Manager is responsible for managing category leadership solutions for Family Dollar & Dollar Tree. The position will focus on the Mars/Wrigley Confectionery business including Chocolate Candy, Non-Chocolate Candy, Gum, Mints, Snacks and Seasonal. This role is expected to provide fact and insight-based solutions that drive growth for the category within the confectionery business. Utilizing shopper insight, opportunity identification and full understanding of products, assortment, pricing, placement, shelving, promotion, and merchandising, this role is the primary insight provider for our confectionery businesses across the marketplace. This role will work closely with internal and external partners.What are we looking for?Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree3-5 years of experience in Sales or Category Management1 year of business analytics experienceExperience in CPG and/or retailExperience working with syndicated data software (i.e., 1010, IRI or Nielsen)Experience working in Assortment Planning or Space Management Software (i.e. Apollo, Intercept, etc)Experience with promotional / non promotional strategy developmentExperience working with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)Strong problem solving, communication, and collaboration skillsSolid written, verbal, and presentation skillsAbility to travel up to 30%Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Sales or Category Management2+ year of business analytics experienceExperience in project development and partnering with large strategic retail customersShopper Insights knowledgeAdvanced data mining experience including shopper loyalty card and household panel dataAdvanced degreeWhat would be your key responsibilities?Create and plan category leadership solutions that deliver profitable sales growth for Family Dollar & Dollar Tree across all business segments. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee's work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee's work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.USD 107,071.00 - USD 147,223.00
