Position: Construction Inspector

Location: Panama City Beach, FL

Duration: 6 month Contract to Hire

Pay: $25/hr-$35/hr

Technical Must-Haves:

• ICC Reinforced Concrete certification
• 3+ years of experience doing reinforced steel inspections, fill placement, fill monitoring, masonry inspections, drainage system inspections, etc.

• ICC Soils
• ICC Masonry
• Master Special Inspector

Day-To-Day:

An engineering client in the Panama City Beach, FL Area is seeking a skilled and certified Construction Inspector to support construction projects on local Air Force bases. The ideal candidate will have an ICC Reinforced Concrete Certification and experience in soils and masonry inspections. This role involves ensuring the quality and compliance of various construction activities, including reinforcing steel inspections, fill placement and monitoring, masonry inspections, new building construction, civil site improvements, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct reinforcing steel inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Perform fill placement and monitoring to verify proper compaction and material quality.
• Carry out masonry inspections to ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
• Inspect new construction buildings and civil site improvements for quality and compliance.
• Oversee the installation and inspection of drainage systems.
• Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or discrepancies.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
