Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Educational Diagnostician will be responsible for evaluating students to determine eligibility for special education services and collaborating with educators and families to ensure appropriate supports and services are in place. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a close-knit educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations using standardized instruments.

  • Interpret testing data and prepare detailed diagnostic reports.

  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including case conferences and eligibility determinations.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and timelines.

  • Provide consultation to teachers regarding accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidential student records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, School Psychology, or a related field.

  • Valid Indiana Educational Diagnostician license/certification or eligibility to obtain.

  • Experience with educational assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WIAT, Woodcock-Johnson, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of IDEA, Article 7, and Indiana state special education regulations.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in educational diagnostics or special education.

  • Familiarity with IEP software systems and digital assessment tools.

  • Experience working in small or rural school communities.
