Job Description

This opportunity seeks a Special Education Teacher to work at a high school level. The role is based in Niagara Falls, NY, and is offered on a contract basis for the academic school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with high school students with diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to develop and implement specialized instructional strategies
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with disabilities
• Develop, update, and monitor IEPs according to state and federal guidelines
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
