HR - Operations Assistant

Title: HR – Operations Assistant

Position Summary: To provide support with a variety of duties and related tasks. The HR – Operations Assistant will be responsible for assisting Account Managers and the recruiter with support in hiring, training, disciplining, medical issues, FMLA, VEC claims, up to termination (full cycle HR support from start of employment for our officers)

Terms of Employment: Full-Time, (Non-Exempt)

Reports to: General Manager or Director of Operations

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Coordinates employee CPR and Vector training schedules in accordance with what is required by our client.
• Assist the recruiter with onboarding new hires.
• Providing company orientation to new hires, making sure company policies are understood.
• Provide Account Managers with assistance and direction as to levels of corrective action needed for officers.
• Bring officers in for corrective actions, providing written warnings, suspensions, and terminations.
• Provide information on any medical, FMLA, accident, injuries to the HR Specialist.
• Serves as back-up to uniform contact including issuing, repairs, returns and inventory.
• Assists HR Manager with HR related duties and special projects.
• Perform any other duties, as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:
• Possession of strong organizational skills and solid computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Posses exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Able to work collectively with all levels of employees
• Ability to multi-task effectively and ability to manage time well
• Commitment to the objectives of the company

Physical and Sensory Abilities:
To perform the essential functions of this position, the HR – Operations Assistant regularly employs the following physical and/or sensory abilities:
? Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs;
? Daily writing and using a switchboard and keyboard;
? Seeing, hearing, and speaking to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
