Holy Child School at Rosemont is a Catholic, co-educational, independent school serving early childhood through grade 8. Our Middle School is fully departmentalized, offering a balanced program that blends traditional and innovative teaching methods in a warm, nurturing environment. Each grade (5-8) has two homerooms, with approximately 16 students per class.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate educator to fill the role of Middle School Math Teacher . This position involves teaching four sections of 5th and 6th grade math (with the possibility of teaching 7th and 8th grades) and serving as a homeroom teacher and advisor for 5th or 6th grade students.

Essential Duties:

• Create and implement engaging and comprehensive math lessons for students in 5th and 6th grades (possibly 7th & 8th).
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations.
• Act as a homeroom teacher. Duties include taking attendance and acting as the primary point of contact for students and their families
• Act as an advisor. Meet with your advisee group during designated times each week, engaging them in timely conversations around topics related to academics, social-emotional health, etc.
• Actively participate in the life of the school, including but not limited to joining internal faculty-staff committee(s) to advance the mission and development of the school.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 2-3 years of experience teaching Math (grades 5-8 is preferred).
• A strong understanding of our mission and philosophy as a Holy Child School.
• Energetic and enthusiastic about teaching and working with children.
• Experience teaching mathematics is ideal, though we will consider candidates with relevant degrees and tutoring experience.
