Salary: $13.60 Hourly Location : Louisburg, NC Job Type: Part Time Job Number: 202500070 Department: Senior Services Opening Date: 05/07/2025 Closing Date: 6/5/2025 11:59 PM Eastern General Statement of Duties Franklin County Department of Aging is recruiting a part-time, Nutrition Site Aide at the Louisburg Senior Center. An employeeinthis position will be responsible for the daily operations of the Senior Center nutrition program. Duties include packing home delivered meals for meal routes, serving lunch to senior citizens at the Louisburg Senior Center, following procedures for safe and sanitary handling of food and equipment, and washing dishes. This position will serve as the backup driver to pick up food from the meal provider, using the Senior Center van, and deliver to the Franklinton and Louisburg Senior Centers. Duties and Responsibilities/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Build constructive and positive relationships with staff and clients. Read and calibrate a thermometer, set up a steam table, wash and disinfect dishes, oven, pots and pans. Test and record temperatures of meals on a daily basis. Stand on your feet for an extended period of time. Lift up to 30 pounds routinely. Sweep and mop kitchen floors, sanitize countertops and sinks daily, clean the refrigerator and the stove weekly, follow proper hygiene procedures. Maintain route counts for home delivered meal routes and total counts for all participating clients. Responsible for completing meal delivery and nutrition site paperwork. Pack meals for the routes and serve of the nutrition site meal at 11:30 a.m. Assist with additional activities at the center such as catered meal events, birthday celebrations, holiday breakfast or special meal preparation as needed. Work closely with Center supervisor on procedures to register and process new clients to both the home delivered meal routes and nutrition site meal. Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Desirable Education and Experience High School diploma and experience in nutrition services. Other Information This position is for five hours per day, five days per week. Must possess a valid North Carolina's driver's license upon hire. Complete fleet management classes through Franklin County. Either have or acquire Servsafe food safety certification within the first 6 months of employment. Please note: Application review of this position will begin on Wednesday, 5/14/25.
