Employer Industry: Healthcare Services Why consider this job opportunity: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package Generous time off and a weekday schedule Opportunity for career advancement within the organization Supportive and collaborative work environment focused on veterans’ care Chance to make a positive impact on veteran patients' health and well-being What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): Diagnose and treat veterans under the supervision of a physician, including comprehensive physical examinations and management of chronic diseases Develop and implement patient management plans while ensuring continuity of care Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide patient education Maintain patient confidentiality and document all findings in the electronic medical record Address the clinical needs of walk-in and urgent care patients, ensuring compliance with VA guidelines What is Required (Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree (BPAS or a related field) required; Master’s degree (MPAS) preferred Graduate of an accredited program for physician assistants, including preceptorship Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Must hold a current and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in Texas, Tennessee, New York, California, or Florida Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an outpatient setting preferred How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): Experience in a healthcare setting specifically related to veteran care Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) if specified by individual contract Previous involvement in clinic outreach or enrollment initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr Valor Healthcare
