This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated Social Worker to support K-12 students within a school setting in Lawrenceville, GA. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in fostering the social and emotional well-being of students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and succeed academically and personally. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), providing stability and meaningful engagement with the student community.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of students.
• Gathering Data To Support (DTS) evaluation and intervention planning.
• Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans.
• Facilitating group or individual counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Providing crisis intervention and follow-up services as needed.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with school and agency guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Licensed or credentialed Social Worker with experience in school-based settings.
• Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and the unique challenges students face.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
• Ability to collect and analyze data relevant to student welfare and outcomes.
• Commitment to ethical practice and student confidentiality.
