Job Description

A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting located in Port Angeles, WA. This contract position offers a valuable chance to support the healthcare needs of students while contributing to their educational development throughout the school year.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to students in grades K-12.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of individualized therapy plans to improve students functional performance and participation in school activities.
• Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional and school guidelines.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing clinical expertise to multidisciplinary planning.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with relevant healthcare and school-based practice experience.
• A strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy and developmental milestones.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in an educational environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to promoting student independence and success in school-related tasks.

This role provides a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and a meaningful opportunity to engage with students in a school setting throughout the academic year.
