Burdette, Koehler, Murphy and Associates, Inc., a consulting engineering firm, is a privately held company that was started in 1968. BKM specializes in providing design and engineering services for all aspects of building and utility infrastructure construction, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC.

The Electrical Designer/Engineer is responsible for tasks including:

• Assist electrical engineers with the design of electrical, lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Prepare electrical designs as required and as necessary to meet client schedules.
• Drafting of electrical system designs.
• Attend project meetings.
• Provide construction administration services, as required.
• Provide correspondence with clients for coordination and requests for information.
• Perform field surveys of existing facilities.
• Periodic business travel required to fulfill project requirements.

Qualifications :

• 3-5+ years of design experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Architectural Engineering with an Electrical Engineering concentration from ABET accredited college or university (preferred but not required).
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office software
