Duties and Responsibilities: Teach primarily lower-division courses: ENG100 Composition I; ENG100A Composition 1 (Honors); ENG200 Composition II; ENG209 Business Writing, ENG270 - 276 Introduction to Literature (emphases on literary history, genre, culture, creative writing, or rhetoric). Minimum Qualifications: MA or MFA degree in English or appropriate field from a college or university of recognized standing; Ability to teach effectively, direct group discussions; Professionalism in meeting and conferring with others. Desirable Qualifications: Ph.D. in English or other appropriate field; Experience teaching first-year writing, writing intensive, and/or introductory literature courses at the college or university level; Evidence of scholarly or professional activity.
